Ironwood Gourmet

Ironwood Gourmet products are designed for discriminating tastes. Founded in 2000 by Neil Butterworth, a master woodworker and Win Alexander, a seasoned marketing professional, the Ironwood Gourmet product line was developed to reflect their epicurean tastes in food, wine, kitchen gadgets and the love of everything wood. Today, Ironwood Gourmet offers one of the most extensive fine wood lines in the gourmet and housewares industries.  Their goal is to well-designed products made with environmentally-friendly and renewable materials.

Jonathan’s Wild Cherry Spoons

Jonathan’s collection of handmade cherry wood utensils has evolved from 28 years of experimentation in the woodshop and kitchen.  Originally made of uncommon spoon woods such as lilac, plum, and honeysuckle, he has since chosen to make his spoons of cherry wood.  This is a hardwood with handsome color and grain, durable, smooth and strong.  His utensils have a unique sense of balance and warmth because they are designed with the hand and purpose in mind.  “Spoons” have become spatulas, tongs, spaghetti forks, spreaders, and more.  Today Jonathan offers a natural cherry finish, a flame-blackened surface with a sanded edge to reveal an accent of warm cheery wood, as well as flame-blackened stripes and spots.

J.K. Adams

J.K. Adams has been designing, manufacturing and distributing wooden products of exceptional quality from its factory in Dorset, Vermont since 1944.  They begin with the finest Northeastern kiln dried lumber and combine function, aesthetics and manufacturing techniques to create products that last a lifetime.  The lumber used is selectively harvested from managed forests where the trees are cut to make room for more trees to grow.  Selected items are certified by the National Sanitation Foundations (NSF), which is accepted as the ultimate endorsement of sanitary, food safe products.

The Vermont Bowl Company ; A Division of John McLeod Ltd.

In 1967 John McLeod, a Scottish engineer emigrating from Scotland, fell in love with Vermont, and decided it was the place and opportunity where he could turn his hobby of woodturning into a successful business.  John worked as an individual craftsman for a number of years, perfecting the techniques of the construction of wooden bowl styles, as well as the presentation of a large number of wooden kitchenware and tableware items. Because of these early years of individual craftsmanship, a tradition of quality has been instilled into the company, and has translated into a reputation for quality which is the envy of the industry.  The Vermont Bowl Company uses two finishes, one that is natural oil and the other for their bowls and many other pieces, is a proprietary finish specially developed for them to give a tough long lasting, hand rubbed lustrous finish.

The Vermont Butcher Block & Board Company, LLC

In 2003 after years of research, David Glickman and his family left New York City and moved to Williston, Vermont where he began the Vermont Bucher Block and Board Company (VBBBC) to pursue his love and passion to work with wood. Made from solid hardwoods such as Walnut, Hard Sap Maple, Bird’s Eye Maple, and Curly Maple, their premium quality wood products highlight the natural grain and beauty of wood and at the same time, provide functionality and durability. They don’t use stains, paints, or veneers, only clear finishes and treatment.  All products are made from responsibly harvested forests and purchased locally to help the Vermont economy.
